On Wednesday 21 April SWAN UK are running an online information event that families and professionals can attend to find out more about us as an organisation and the support we provide.

Those who come along will be able to hear first hand about the experiences of some of the families that we support, as well as listen to talks from professionals working in different fields within genomics on topics such as:

  • What is a genome?
  • History of genetic testing
  • Why does genetic testing take so long?
  • Will any conditions still be undiagnosed in ten years time?

As part of the event we’re running breakout sessions for each of the devolved nations where organisations who provide support to families in those countries will be coming along and giving a 15 minute presentation on the services that they offer.

We want to try and engage as many families as possible so we can connect with those who could benefit from the support we provide. We’d really appreciate it if you could share the event through your networks and with any families that you feel could benefit from coming along.
